SANTO DOMINGO, DR – February 4, 2026 – As part of its talent development strategy, Grupo SID welcomed to its facilities the first cohort of young people with disabilities participating in the Dual Training Program (Produal), an initiative developed together with the National Institute for Technical and Professional Training (INFOTEP) that marks a milestone for inclusion in the Dominican Republic.
The integration of this group of apprentices is part of the Inclúyeme SID Workplace Inclusion Program, which focuses on identifying, developing, and integrating diverse talent, as well as removing barriers and promoting equal opportunities in the workplace.
itiative stems from the Inter-Institutional Collaboration Agreement signed on December 3, 2024, between Grupo SID’s Executive President, Ligia Bonetti Du-Breil, and INFOTEP’s General Director, Rafael Santos Badía.
During the event, Nieves Ramos, Grupo SID’s Corporate Director of Human Resources, emphasized that: “this initiative is born from our firm conviction to promote inclusion and goes beyond a training experience; it is a joint effort to turn inclusion into concrete, sustainable actions with real impact—both in people’s lives and in the country’s development.”
Representing INFOTEP, Rayza Pichardo, Director of Business Competitiveness, highlighted that the program seeks to integrate young talent with motor and hearing functional diversity. “Today we are not only receiving apprentices; we are bringing to life an agreement that seeks to transform the country’s professional culture, demonstrating that inclusion is key to technical and human development,” she stated.
Also in attendance were Leyna Barroso, Grupo SID’s Corporate Manager of Talent and Organizational Change, and María Luisa Labernia Pruñonosa, Executive Director of the Dominican Rehabilitation Association (ADR), which supported the selection of participants and accompanied the business group in conducting an accessibility assessment.

About the technical training
Participants receive training at INFOTEP’s Metropolitan Regional Directorate in the Accounting Technician program, designed under the National Qualifications Framework, with a total duration of 860 hours under the dual modality, which combines academic instruction and supervised on-the-job practice at the company.
During the process, they develop competencies in:
- Accounting and tax management, including recording commercial transactions and applying taxes (ITBIS and ISR).
- Payroll and cash control, managing withholdings, bank reconciliations, and payments.
- Costs and inventory, including merchandise coding, applying the FIFO method, and optimizing storage.
- Digital skills, through the use of specialized software for financial management.
Abaout Inclúyeme SID
Conceived as a cross-cutting strategic pillar, the program focuses on identifying, developing, and integrating diverse talent, promoting work environments where capabilities, merit, and equal opportunities are at the center of management.
In line with this vision, in 2024 Grupo SID delivered the training initiative “On the Road to Inclusion: building bridges toward a more inclusive future,” designed to raise awareness, promote best practices, and strengthen key workplace inclusion competencies across all levels of the organization.
As a result, more than 400 leaders were trained in Inclusive Leadership, taking on an active role as multipliers within their teams. This effort translated into more than 6,000 hours of training and reached more than 5,000 employees, contributing tangibly to building a more aware, equitable, and sustainable organizational culture.
