Grupo SID Supports the Launch of a Book on Artificial Intelligence and Communication

With an introduction delivered by Ligia Bonetti, Executive President of Grupo SID, who highlighted the book’s invitation to practice communication with awareness, rigor, and compassion—integrating technology without losing ethical judgment or human responsibility.

Journalist and consultant Víctor Bautista launched The Invisible Copilot: AI for Managing Crises and Narratives, a work focused on the impact of artificial intelligence on strategic communication and crisis management.

The publication proposes a rethinking of crisis management in accelerated digital environments, where, according to the author, traditional reactive models are no longer sufficient. The text advocates for the incorporation of artificial intelligence systems as tools for listening, emotional analysis, scenario simulation, and support in strategic decision-making, under human supervision.

The event included a panel discussion moderated by Helena Sainz, with the participation of Josefina Navarro, Esteban Martínez Murga, and Chris Corcino, who addressed current challenges related to reputation, digital transformation, and the use of artificial intelligence in corporate environments.

During the discussion, the panelists—experts in corporate communication and technology management—reflected on trends in crisis communication, the risks associated with disinformation, and the growing influence of emerging technologies in the construction of public narratives.

Ligia Bonetti delivered the formal introduction to the book and described it as “a work that invites us to rethink the communication culture of our organizations. It reminds us of the importance of applied ethics and of maintaining human control over automated decisions, while developing hybrid professionals capable of interpreting data and emotions, and of using algorithms without losing the soul of the message.”

“The book does not seek to replace the communicator or automate professional judgment. It aims to provoke reflection on how artificial intelligence can function as a strategic copilot in contexts of high uncertainty,” Bautista stated during his remarks.

According to the author, the work explores concepts such as narrative intelligence, reputation architecture, deepfakes, disinformation, and technology ethics, emphasizing that technology expands capabilities but does not replace leadership, judgment, or responsibility.

The Invisible Copilot emerged from Bautista’s academic research, developed within the framework of an MBA in Project Management with Artificial Intelligence, and was later adapted into an editorial format aimed at professionals, consultants, and communication students.
