Grupo SID ranks #6 among Best Places to Work

May 30, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Grupo SID was recognized, for the third consecutive year, as one of the best places to work, reaching the #6 position in the Great Place to Work ranking during the ceremony that honored companies from the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

The conglomerate climbed six positions compared to the previous year, reflecting sustained progress in employee trust and a strengthened sense of belonging. Additionally, it ranked among the Top 10 organizations with more than 1,000 employees in Central America and the Caribbean, as well as in the Top 10 within the Manufacturing and Production sector.

“At Grupo SID, we understand that results are built by people. This recognition validates a culture we have strengthened through consistency, active listening, and leadership driven from top management that inspires and puts people at the center,” said Nieves Ramos, Corporate Director of Human Management.

With 88 years of history, more than 5,600 employees, and flagship companies such as MercaSID, Induveca, Induspalma, and Escogido Baseball Club, this achievement reflects consistent talent management and a mission focused on creating well-being—one that goes beyond intention and is lived and reflected in every action.

This distinction is based exclusively on employees’ opinions about their workplace experience. In this regard, 97% report feeling proud, while the same proportion positively recognizes the company’s efforts in well-being and health protection. Likewise, 96% perceive an equitable environment that supports professional development.

Behind these results is a culture lived every day. A model based on differentiation, excellence, creativity, passion, and commitment, aligned with the corporate values of growing, serving, protecting, and sharing—values that guide not only decisions but also how SID People connect and enhance their talent.

This vision translates into initiatives that care for employees and create opportunities, such as preventive health programs, continuous training, and merit-based growth policies. It also includes concrete actions toward inclusion, such as incorporating women into traditionally male-dominated roles and integrating people with disabilities across different areas of operations.

This approach is complemented by spaces designed for holistic well-being, including four medical units, lactation rooms, 24/7 psychological support, flexible work schedules, and the “Health Day.” Additionally, employees benefit from perks such as free transportation, meal subsidies, discounts at the corporate store, and support programs for critical situations.

With this new recognition, Grupo SID reaffirms its commitment to a corporate culture that integrates employee well-being and performance, consolidating talent management as a key pillar for sustainability.
