In line with its commitment to promoting education, culture, and community well-being, Grupo SID sponsors and actively participates in the First Cristo Rey Book Festival, held from May 30 to June 1 at Cristo Park. This event seeks to introduce children, youth, and adults to the world of reading through a varied cultural and literary program.
For Grupo SID, reading is much more than a habit: it is a fundamental tool that opens doors to knowledge, fosters creativity, and develops a deeper understanding of the world. With the goal of reaching more than 200 children, volunteers from the SID Reading Club will be present at the festival to share reading sessions featuring the books “Frieda and the SDGs” and “Exploring the SDGs for a More Sustainable World.” Each participant will have the opportunity to take home a copy, strengthening their connection to reading and their commitment to a more sustainable world. This experience will be complemented by interactive activities, such as painting about sustainability and product tastings, creating an educational, creative, and family-friendly environment.
During her participation in the festival, Ligia Bonetti, Executive President of Grupo SID, emphasized: “Don’t stop reading. This is your first opportunity to truly become passionate and develop a love for reading.”
The Grupo SID stand will also feature a selection of books published by the company, as well as copies donated by employees, available to all those who wish to immerse themselves in reading during the event. This activity seeks to strengthen ties with the Cristo Rey community, a key and important community for Grupo SID, reaffirming its commitment to education and access to culture.
With this participation, Grupo SID continues to reaffirm its purpose of generating well-being and social development through sustainable and inclusive initiatives, supporting an education that develops conscious, critical citizens committed to a sustainable future.
