The group invested over US$77 million to boost productivity in 2025, expanded its presence to 22 markets, and consolidated a portfolio of 146 Dominican-manufactured SKUs.
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – Grupo SID was recognized as a Major Dominican Exporter, an honor that acknowledges the organization’s track record and performance in international markets, as well as its contribution to strengthening the Dominican manufacturing export sector.
During 2025, the group allocated more than US$77 million to investments aimed at strengthening and expanding its production capabilities, while simultaneously extending its reach to 22 international markets and consolidating a portfolio of 146 Dominican-manufactured SKUs.
“For us, this award is highly significant because, beyond simply recognizing the volume of our exports, it highlights the way we achieve them: the innovation we incorporate, the jobs we create, the ties we build with local suppliers, our capacity for transformation, and our commitment to producing ever-better goods in a more sustainable manner,” stated Roberto Bonetti Pastoriza, Vice President of Investment and Export at Grupo SID.
This notable performance is linked to an internationalization strategy that has enabled Grupo SID to expand its production reach and solidify the presence of Dominican-made products in markets across the Caribbean, Central America, and the United States. Its export portfolio includes food, beverages, and hygiene and home care products, with a presence in international markets alongside commercial partners such as the National Supermarket Association (NSA) and Walmart.
Grupo SID’s expansion has also been accompanied by an active trade promotion strategy. Over the past three years, the company has participated in 15 international trade fairs, 43 trade missions, and 22 business matchmaking events, while leveraging trade integration agreements such as DR-CAFTA and CARICOM to expand market access for its products.
This export drive has been underpinned by improvements in productivity, efficiency, and innovation. Complementing this performance is a management approach focused on meeting international standards for quality, safety, and sustainability—backed by certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSSC 22000, RSPO, FDA, and ISO/IEC 17025—which strengthen the company’s operational capacity to meet the demands of diverse markets.
Recognition as a “Great Dominican Exporter” marks a new milestone for Grupo SID in a journey of internationalization spanning over three decades—a journey characterized by an expanding product portfolio, entry into new markets, and the strengthening of domestic production capabilities.
With operations grounded in investment, innovation, productivity, and local supply chain linkages, Grupo SID continues to advance its vision of building competitive companies capable of bringing high-quality brands and products to new consumers, thereby creating value from the Dominican Republic and bolstering the nation’s productive capacity.
