Grupo SID Recognized in the U.S. as International Company of the Year

New Jersey, USA – July 2025 – Grupo SID was recognized as International Company of the Year at the International Trade Show organized by the National Supermarket Association (NSA), in a ceremony that brought together industry leaders, NSA executives, entrepreneurs, and representatives of international brands.

The event, held from July 15 to 17 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in New Jersey, is one of the most important gatherings for the independent supermarket industry in the United States.

“This recognition reaffirms our commitment to building well-being beyond our borders, supporting the Hispanic communities that have made our brands a part of their daily lives with quality products,” said Ligia Bonetti, CEO of Grupo SID, during her participation in the fair’s opening ceremony.

With the participation of more than 400 entrepreneurs who collectively operate more than 800 stores, the Trade Show promotes strategic business relationships and highlights companies that, due to their track record, impact, and innovation, contribute to the development of this network.

As part of its institutional presence, Grupo SID featured a conceptual booth that combined technological, cultural, and gastronomic elements to offer an immersive experience. This space reflected the company’s essence: tradition, innovation, and proximity to the consumer. The experience included emblematic images of the Dominican Republic, live tastings, and areas designed to strengthen business alliances.

“The Dominican diaspora and the Hispanic community in the United States represent a vital force for our international operations. We look to the future with determination, with the goal of continuing to grow responsibly and being a reliable partner for those who trust us,” added Bonetti.

With this recognition, Grupo SID reaffirms its mission of creating well-being, strengthening the presence of its brands in international markets, and actively contributing to the economic and social development of the communities it serves.
