With a career spanning more than seven decades marked by business vision and social commitment, José Miguel and Roberto Bonetti Guerra were recognized for their commitment to the business sector and their contribution to building a more prosperous and competitive Dominican Republic.
The award, presented during the 62nd Anniversary of the Mauricio Báez Club, recognized the valuable contributions made through Grupo SID and its companies—MercaSID, Induveca, Induspalma, and Escogido—to the country’s social and economic development.
In delivering the words of thanks, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the business group, José Miguel Bonetti, emphasized that Club Mauricio Báez is a natural ally, sharing the same purpose as Grupo SID: creating well-being, providing opportunities for talent, fostering values that strengthen the community, and contributing to the country’s development.
“We firmly believe that the true development of a nation begins where communities are strengthened and young people find spaces to grow, learn, and dream, generating real opportunities, convinced that investing in people is, ultimately, investing in the future of our country,” he stated upon receiving the award alongside his brother.

The recognition was presented by the club’s president, José Domínguez, and by the ad vitam president, Leonardo Heredia (Leo Corporán), who highlighted the entrepreneurs’ legacy as an inspirational example in the private sector.
The event brought together prominent figures from the business, government, sports, and social spheres, including Minister David Collado, Minister Kelvin Cruz, Minister Roberto Ángel Salcedo, Ms. Milagros Ortiz Bosch, Dr. José Joaquín Puello, Mr. Jesús Antonio Vásquez, Mr. Luis Rafael Mejía, Mr. José P. Monegro, among others, who joined the Mauricio Báez Club in this special commemoration that reaffirms the role of the private sector as an essential ally of development.
