The Grupo SID proudly celebrates the recognition given to its Executive President, Ligia Bonetti, who has been highlighted as one of the business leaders with the best reputation in the Dominican Republic for 2023.
This recognition, granted by Merco (Business Monitor of Corporate Reputation), positions Ligia Bonetti among the most recognized business leaders for her excellent track record, ethics, and contribution to business development in the country, as well as for her environmental, social and governance, known as ESG, for its acronym in English.
“This achievement highlights the vision and constant commitment of our leader to sustainability, innovation and positive social impact, elements that are fundamental pillars for Grupo SID,” highlights a press release from Grupo SID, a business conglomerate that also appears in the Merco ranking as one of the most reputable corporate entities.
Merco, in its first edition in the Dominican Republic, has highlighted companies and leaders as a reference regarding responsibility, ethics and reputation. “We are honored that Ligia Bonetti is part of this select group, sharing a position with great figures from the Dominican business world, such as Frank Elías Rainieri from Grupo Puntacana and José Luis Corripio from Grupo Corripio,” added the company.
He expressed gratitude to the evaluating public and Merco for the distinction and reaffirmed his commitment to the well-being and development of the Dominican Republic.

The methodology used by Merco for the reputational evaluation is based on a multistakeholder approach that includes five evaluations and 14 sources of information, such as professors, consumer rights defenders, non-governmental organizations, steering committees, and specialized journalists, among others. All this, with the endorsement and independent review of KPMG following the ISAE3000 standard.
