Grupo SID was recognized at the Mercado Business Forum – Dominicana Sostenible for its track record, longevity, and sustained contributions to the economic and social development of the Dominican Republic. The company was highlighted for its business vision, which has driven the evolution and strengthening of the group and its subsidiaries, guided by values of integrity, innovation, and commitment to collective well-being.
The recognition underscored more than eight decades of business trajectory. Today, the group has more than 5,000 employees, manages a portfolio of over 130 brands, and maintains a presence in 21 countries. This scale reflects its operational reach, financial strength, and international projection, as well as its sustained contribution to the country’s development, consolidating its position as a benchmark for leadership, innovation, and sustainable growth.
In addition, Grupo SID has demonstrated that sustainability is a cross-cutting pillar of its strategy and guides every business decision, integrating economic, social, and environmental dimensions. This is reflected in initiatives such as EducaSID, ReforestaSID, Caminantes por la Vida, Inclúyeme SID, support for culture and sports, and various community projects that create opportunities, promote inclusion, and improve the quality of life of thousands of people.
This same commitment is reflected internally in professional development programs, comprehensive well-being initiatives, continuous training, and an organizational culture based on respect, equity, and growth—elements that have been decisive in its recognition as one of the Best Places to Work, reaffirming its focus on talent, excellence, and sustainable development.
In the energy and environmental area, Grupo SID has achieved concrete progress: in the last four years, the use of biomass has enabled the utilization of more than 41,000 tons of industrial by-products, replacing millions of gallons of diesel and avoiding nearly 40,000 tons of CO₂e. Likewise, the installation of photovoltaic systems at Induveca’s distribution centers and the standardization of packaging demonstrate how efficiency, innovation, and environmental stewardship combine to generate tangible results.
The award was received by Lil Esteva, Executive Vice President of Induveca, and presented by Patricia de Moya, President of Mercado Media Network, and Mr. Celso Marranzini, President of CONEP.

This recognition reaffirms Grupo SID’s role as a key player in building a stronger, more responsible, and sustainable development model for the Dominican Republic, and as a benchmark for longevity, transformation, and positive impact in the country.
About Grupo SID’s Initiatives
A Grupo SID program aimed at strengthening inclusive, quality education for primary school children. In 2025, a digital educational platform dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was launched, accessible through the Ministry of Education’s portal, with interactive resources, guides, and audiovisual materials that support teachers and students in integrating sustainability into the classroom.
ReforestaSID
Through its ReforestaSID program, Grupo SID carries out reforestation initiatives in different parts of the country with the aim of mitigating its carbon footprint and contributing to the expansion of national forest cover. This initiative has resulted in the planting of more than 195,000 trees in areas near its companies.
Fundación Caminantes por la Vida
This social entity of Grupo SID is dedicated to cancer awareness, prevention, and early detection. It represents the group’s commitment to the well-being and health of Dominican families. Through walks, community outreach initiatives, and strategic partnerships with health institutions, it promotes initiatives aimed at raising awareness of timely diagnosis.
Inclúyeme SID
A workplace inclusion program whose purpose is to integrate people with disabilities into the productive environment through training, guidance, and real employment opportunities. In 2026, Grupo SID and the National Institute for Technical and Vocational Training (INFOTEP) launched a dual training program (a hybrid model combining education and in-company practice) for people with disabilities as part of this inclusion pillar. The alliance, formalized through an interinstitutional agreement, marks a milestone in the technical preparation and labor integration of diverse talent.
